Avon House was built on Abbey Row in 1798. Over the succeeding centuries this Grade II* house has undergone many structural changes – and has also had some interesting occupants. With the help of the team at the Wiltshire Buildings Record, Sue Poolman has uncovered some of its secrets which are interwoven with Malmesbury’s wider history.
